My memories of Paul

These are some of my memories of Paul from a very young age whilst he was going out with my sister Jeanette. Paul would take me scrambling and occasionally I would go with him to the Midlands where he would buy a new motor bike or spares for his other bikes.Paul was a man with great imagination He built me a bike with telescopic forks and with suspension on the rear of the bike This was in 1955 when I was 8 years old. I felt so proud riding this bike down the street and people would stare in amazement. He also designed and built an industrial wet and dry vacuum cleaner that would fit onto a metal dustbin. I used this for many years in my engineering company. He was a great engineer with an inventive mind and would always find a way of doing the impossible. As his body gave way in later life he never lost his brain. Paul would hold a very intelligent and knowledgable conversation until the end.
Grahame.
